Getting there
- Mototaxi from the village plaza to the gate, then a short trail on foot.
- Or walk up from Minca along the road if you have time and decent legs.
Explore Minca
A private site with tiered falls and a swimming pool at the bottom, about 4 km from the village. Walk in or take a mototaxi.
Marinka is the waterfall on every postcard: tiered falls in the forest, a first pool for swimming and a higher drop that is mostly for photos. It sits about 4 km from Minca on private land, with an entry fee.
The site has maintained paths, hanging nets to flop into and a café-restaurant. From the gate there is a short walk on a damp path; the final rocks are slick, so leave the flip-flops at home.
You can walk there (about 1 h 20 min according to one guide) or take a mototaxi for roughly 12 minutes. Many people pair it with Pozo Azul in a single morning, and it is also the classic finish of the long walk down from Los Pinos.
The day after heavy rain the current is strong. On those days, admire it from the bank.
Casa Bosco doesn’t sell or run this visit: go on your own or with a local guide.
